Wahine Walk

The Kereru syndicate went for an awesome walk to the Wahine memorial today to launch us into our hands of time inquiry. Thanks a lot for all the parents who came to help out. The students had a go at sketching the foremast and the surrounding area. Watch this space to see how they did!

Sphero coding

Today Room 15 spent some time coding spheros in the library. Over the coming weeks we will try to increase the complexity of our block coding and hopefully learn some cool new things!

Adverb Dancing!

Today Room 15 learned all about adverbs through dance. We combined an adverb and a dance move to make a short dance routine. We thought about HOW adverbs change a verbs meaning, and how they explain how something is done. Ask your child about some of their dance moves they came up with.

Danish Rounders with the neighbours

This afternoon room 15 faced off against room 16 in a game of Danish Rounders. Both teams played awesome, and next time it might even be a cup game. Well done Room 15!

Buddy Time!

 Today we got to meet our buddy class! This year, Room 15 will be with Room 5 (Michelle Hollard).

We will aim to meet weekly on a Friday. This is an amazing opportunity not just for juniors to make some big-kid friends, but also our Kereru students to be leaders and role models.

It was a blast hanging out with you Room 5! See you next week!



Parachute and Detective



Today Room 12 had some fun with the parachute!

We focussed on building teamwork and working together and had an awesome time.
